Drive through a winter wonderland at the Erie County Fairgrounds

The Erie County Fair Grounds is turning into a winter wonderland. Five hundred blocks of ice will be stacked and carved into ice sculptures by master sculptors. The event starts tonight at 5pm and runs through February 15th. The times are 5:00 – 10:00pm. Organizers ask that you prepay online to prevent unnecessary interaction between you and staff day of. It is $25 per car, truck, or RV no matter how many people you pack inside. It is a five-night event and when you pay online you pick a day and time to prevent back-up. You begin your experience at the Erie County Fairgrounds main gate on South Park Avenue. The drive through experience without traffic is about 10- 20 minutes. Spoiler alert: what can you expect when you drive through this winter wonderland drive thru? Emily Lampa says she was told there are three specific sections to be looking for. One is a Valentine’s themed area, the second is a winter themed area and finally a tribute to our frontline workers.
