The summer is coming to an end and it is time to get ready to go back to school!
Linda was at Como Park Elementary with Kindergartner teacher Mrs. Elaine Fantini. Elaine has been a teacher for about 20 years and she is always prepared for the back to school season.
Many kids in kindergarten don't know how to read and many parents are sending their first child off to school, so there is much to get done before the school year begins. It is scary, sending a child off to school for the first time, but Mrs. Fantini knows how to get the kids excited to be in the classroom for the first time.
She puts much time and effort to prepare for each school year like many other teachers. She has a chart that has each child's picture on it so she know who is in the bathroom and incase of an emergency, or during a fire drill, she knows to wait for that child to come out of the bathroom and escort them out of the building.
School year is approaching fast and the kids are getting ready to come back to school! There are so many ways to get kids interested and involved in school and it all starts with the hard work and effort that the teachers put in each and every day.
