60 years of telling your stories: looking back at the big moments in 7 Eyewitness News history

Posted

From pistol packing punks to keeping the Bills in Buffalo, 7 Eyewitness News has been proud to report and be witness to history in Western New York and beyond for 60 years.

We've rolled out the red carpet for presidents, Hollywood elite, and the incredible people right here at home. We've been with your families through tragedies from the assassination of President John F. Kennedy to the Division Street explosion; the crash of Flight 3407 in Clarence Center to the death of Lieutenant Craig Lehner of the Buffalo Police Department.

We were there through the heyday of steel and the population slump that followed. Today, we're bearing witness to Buffalo's renaissance, as companies move in, old buildings become new and generations come home.

Through it all, it's the people of Western New York-- and your incredible stories-- that have shaped our news organization. Thank you, Western New York, for 60 years.
