BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Western New York summers are elite with concerts, food trucks and festivals like the Taste of Buffalo. This year, the two-day food festival is spicing things up with a new collaboration with First We Feast.
Fans of Hot Ones know Bill Drexler, aka Camera Guy Bill. What you may not know is that he's actually from the Queen City and bringing the Hot Ones heat to his hometown.

"I love representing my hometown anytime I can with First We Feast," Drexler said. "So, to be asked to be a part of something as big as Taste of Buffalo was a big honor, and I'm very, very excited."
What's on the menu? Five participating restaurants are creating exclusive dishes using sauces from the talk show Hot Ones. Those restaurants are Avenue29 Foods, Babcia's Pierogi, Carruba's Chicken Pit, D.A. Taste and Lime House Sushi and Ramen.
"I know we have tasty hot sauce, and Buffalo has tasty food," Drexler said. "I think it's a match made in heaven to collaborate with some of these local restaurants to use some of our hot sauce."

Festival-goers can enjoy those dishes and put their taste buds to the test at the Hot Ones and First We Feast Heat & Greet Pop-Up tent. Drexler will be serving up selfies and tastings of Hot Ones' Last Dab sauce. I know we're pros here, but this stuff hits different, so here's your survival guide.
"I highly recommend building a solid base," Drexler said. "White rice, bread, a banana and then after definitely have a gallon of milk on standby because you will probably be needing it."
The Taste of Buffalo is back July 12 and 13 in Niagara Square. You can learn more about the food festival online here.
