The Buffalo Bills have hired Brandon Beane as their next general manager, the team announced on Tuesday.
Beane is the 13th GM in franchise history.

A press conference to introduce Beane is schedule for Friday at 10:30 am, ahead of Bills rookies reporting for their first mini camp.
Beane, 40, has been a staple in the Carolina Panthers front office since 1998, working his way up to assistant general manager in 2015.

He's also very familiar with new Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott, who was the defensive coordinator of the Panthers from 2011 through 2016.
According to NFL Reporter Ian Rapoport, Beane's contract is locked in to run with McDermott's.
