Boxing Day is a massive day for shoppers. Officials at the Fashion Outlets in Niagara Falls were anticipated a crowd of over 30,000 shoppers throughout the day.
Boxing Day is a holiday largely celebrated in the UK and Canada. It is centered around returning Christmas gifts and buying some of the last minute deals.
It also is a day where retailers look to sell out most of their older merchandise to make room for the new year.
John Doran, mall manager of the Fashion Outlets, claims that a lot of people do their Christmas shopping for the following year on Boxing Day.
"Some of your best Christmas Day shopping is done the day after Christmas and then you squirrel it away for next year."
