In an early candidate for local high school game of the year, St. Francis upended the favored Park Pioneers 70-66 in two overtimes. The Red Raiders battled back from a 21-point deficit in the first half to force the first overtime.
Park was widely considered to be the top team in the area, and one of the best teams in the state.
On the girl's side, one of the area's best Cardinal O'Hara came away with an impressive victory over Bishop Kearney of Rochester 68-57.
