With the 189th overall pick the Buffalo Sabres selected Austin Osmanski in the 2016 NHL Draft.
Osmanski, who is an East Aurora native, played for the Buffalo Jr. Sabres before heading to the Mississauga Steelheads of the OHL last season.
He had 2 goals and 8 assists in 65 games last season. He also had an assist in the playoffs.
Osmanski told the media "it feels weird to wear the sweater without 'Jr. Sabres' next to it."
He was ranked #135 by NHL Central Scouting.
