School: West Seneca West Indians

Head Coach: Mike Vastola (3rd year)

2016 Record: 4-5, last made playoffs in 2005

Starters Returning: 4 on Offense, 5 on Defense

Key Players: Bryan Ball, Jesse Broad, Vinny Draper, Juston Johnson, Matt Myers, and Josh Wilson

First Game: September 1st against Amherst Central

Fun Fact: QB Matt Myers chose to come "home" before the regular season. Myers played for the Indians his freshman year but spent the last two years at Bishop Timon. Myers had been working out with the Indians all summer and the U-B commit is excited to play his last year at the place it all started.

When asked about possibly ending that playoff drought, Myers said, "It'd be great. It'd be something special knowing that I was a part of that team along with a great group of guys we have here. We can definitely get it done."

Coach Vastola added, "We thought we were a playoff team going into this season and obviously bolstered with the additions of Matt Myers and Justin Johnson that would make us a little bit more lethal. Our senior class has been extremely hard workers since they were in 8th grade when they were undefeated down in Modified. So they've got some confidence so we are expecting big things."
