Two teams from Frontier high school have been honored by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association.
The Falcons boys bowling and boys basketball team were named state champion scholar athlete teams.
The NYSPHSAA states any team earning a grade point average of 90.00 and higher will be honored as a “Scholar-Athlete Team” with each team receiving a certificate and each team member a pin. This is the 24th year of the NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete program.
The Frontier bowling team sported a 95.92 GPA. The basketball team had a 97.40 GPA. Those were the highest, in their respective sports, in New York.
Both teams will be honored by receiving banners at the high school on Wednesday.
