Tyrod Taylor played two series and Sammy Watkins only had one target in his first preseason game of 2016, as the Bills fell to Washington 21-16 on Friday.

Washington quarterback Kick Cousins tossed three first half touchdowns as they raced out a 21-9 halftime lead.

Running back Jonathan Williams continued his dominant preseason, racing 37 yards for his second touchdown of the preseason to pull Buffalo within 21-16.  However, his night ended late in the third quarter after being body slammed and suffering a rib injury.

LeSean McCoy, Mike Gillislee, Ronald Darby, Kyle Williams and Stephon Gilmore were among the starters who did not play.

The Bills wrap up the preseason on Sept. 1, when they hit the road and battle the Lions.
