Water Bikes of Buffalo grows in business and popularity

Posted at 8:38 AM, Jun 01, 2017

With Memorial Day behind us and warm temperatures ahead of us, the season to hit the water is now!

As Canalside and Buffalo's Waterfront continue to develop, drawing traffic downtown, one great attraction for the entire family to enjoy are the Water Bikes of Buffalo.

This family-owned business, run by husband and wife duo Peter and Lisa Florczak, started as an idea years ago and has since blossomed into a popular, diverse business - with something for everyone.

From their one-of-a-kind Ice Bikes of Buffalo, known for cruising on the frozen water during the winter season, to their adult pedal boats, child paddle boats and water bikes, this couple has successfully kept fun alive on Buffalo's waterways.

These water activities, Lisa Florczak says, are something Buffalo needed. "We've lived other places and as a mom I always thought my kids would enjoy something fun to do on the water - so we came home and started working on proposals."

From seven water bikes and just a few employees to: 18 water bikes, 12 paddle boats, 10 pedal boats and 2 stand up pedal boards, this company is growing and giving back to Western New York - in it's own unique way.
