Any given year, the United States receives all kinds of weather ranging from thunderstorms and tornadoes in spring and summer to snow and ice in the winter, but a few storms or events always stick out.
Heavy downpours, tornadoes, feet of snow, hurricanes in both oceans, severe drought and bitter cold all made the list.
How will next year shape up? We'll have to wait and see what 2015 holds.
