The Skyway and Route 5 will be closed beginning at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night due to the high winds.
NITTEC says the Skyway will be closed "until further notice." Route 5 will close westbound from 190 to Tifft Street, and eastbound from Ridge Road to 190.
Wind gusts are expected to reach 60 mph throughout the evening. Strongest winds are expected between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m., according to 7 First Alert Chief Meteorologist Aaron Mentkowski.
Sustained winds are expected to be 40 mph.
