Reward goes up again for info on cat stomped to death

The reward for information leading to the arrest of a man who stomped a cat to death in Batavia has again increased.

An animal advocacy group is now offering a $1,250 to find a man who police say stomped on a cat after he allegedly instructed his dog to attack it. The incident happened in front of the Raceway Minimarket on Main Street in Batavia on December 3.

Police found the dead cat, which was taken to an animal hospital for an autopsy.

Volunteers for Animals tell 7 Eyewitness News the man also allegedly tried to sic his dog on a witness who tried to intervene.

Police describe the suspect as a young, white male around 6-feet tall.
