After suspending mail service in several communities and shutting down multiple branches during the height of the storm last week, the U.S. Postal Service says it is back to business Monday.
All branches are now open and every attempt will be made to make delivery.
The Postal Service does warn that if roads are impassable or mailboxes cannot be safely reached, delivery may be temporarily suspended.
For customers that have “lost” their mailboxes, the Postal Service suggests placing mail on hold until receptacles can be replaced. Mail delivery can be placed on hold at www.usps.com or by going to the local Post Office.
