Town of Tonawanda Police Officers are making sure one family has a Thanksgiving dinner this year.
A post on Facebook explains these three officers responded to a welfare check on a woman with three kids who had just lost her husband. The post went on to say that the family was ok, but they were still trying to figure out how to get a turkey for Thanksgiving.
The officers then went to the grocery store to buy a turkey and some extra treats for the family. The author of the post said it's important to focus on the good officers do every day, and to recognize them for it.
