The owner of Buffalo seafood restaurant Oshun says it has no plans to close, despite recently filing for Chapter 11.

The bankruptcy attorney representing the oyster bar, located on East Huron Street, says the filing will allow the restaurant’s owner to catch up on paying back taxes to New York State.

“[The owners] are looking for relief provided to them by the law. It's a difficult decision but once they're in it it's probably the most responsible thing to do," attorney Scott Bogucki said.

Bogucki recognizes the stigma attached to filing for Chapter 11, but reiterates that it is “business as usual.”
