Monday night's Slow Roll will be led by the first African-American to win an Olympic medal in cycling.

Bikers should meet at the Colored Musicians Club for a 6:30 p.m. ride led by Olympian Nelson Vails.

This week's route will also include presentations by the Restore Our Community Coalition and GOBike Buffalo's push to support Complete Streets initiatives.

The ride will include major streets Broadway, Humboldt and William along with residential streets in Johnson, Kingsley, Hamlin Park, MLK Park, Emerson and Emslie.

A stop in Hamlin Park will give cyclists the opportunity to hear from Stephanie Barber-Geter of the Restore Our Community Coalition on the history of Hamlin Park and the coalition's work toward a better future.

An after party at the Colored Musicians Club will have food, drinks, extended museum hours, and live music from George Scott Big Band.

Rides will continue through October 31st.
