Have you downloaded or updated your WKBW mobile app?

WKBW has released a new version of its app that allows you to select the notifications you want to receive and we want to make sure you continue to receive push alerts from us.

Don't have the app? Download it here!

We are dedicated to providing you with the content you want and not wasting your time with notifications you don't want to receive.

We will be tailoring our alerts to fit these categories:

  • Breaking News
  • Sports
  • Traffic
  • Weather
  • What's on TV
  • ShopSmart

Once you've downloaded the update, you will have the ability to select which alerts you want as well as how the alerts are being delivered to your phone.

Watch the video at the top of this page, provided by our sister station in Bakersfield, Ca., to see how to configure the notifications on your iOS device.

If you have an Android device, here's a step-by-step process, provided by our sister station in Bakersfield, Ca. of how to select the notifications you would like to receive.

1) You will need to click the hamburger, or menu button at the top left of the app:

2) Then Click On The Gear.

3) Click on Manage Notifications.

4) Choose the alerts as well as the way you want alerts sent to you.

Once you've done this, you'll just need to use the arrow in the top left to navigate back and you're all set.
