Niagara County will pay $2.75 million to the widow of a man killed in October 2015, after his SUV was hit by a sheriff's deputy patrol car.

The Niagara County legislature voted unanimously to approve a settlement with Glenn Annalora's wife, Mary.

Annalora died after former deputy James Bissell III ran a stop sign where Route 93, Route 104 and Plank Road in the Town of Cambria meet.

The Annalora family sued the county, claiming negligence by the former deputy.

Bissell resigned from the Niagara County Sheriff's Office two months after the crash and was ordered to pay a fine.
