“Absentee Landlords & Criminal Activity” law would give the town more power to go after "irresponsible property owners."

West Seneca leaders says this law would allow the town to begin special evictions to control illegal activities at rental properties.

The town says this would include landlords who don't live in West Seneca, don't know who their tenants are, and don't know what's going on at their properties. It would clear the way for special eviction proceedings.

“From my perspective, you know it'll just be a registration process,” Anthony Parisi, West Seneca landlord, said. “It sounds like every couple of years I’ll reregister with the town.”

The West Seneca community can comment on this proposed law for the next two weeks until the next board meeting on September 18th at 7 p.m.
