Jamestown officers shoot, kill dog after charging at them

A Jamestown dog owner will be facing charges after her dog charged at two Jamestown Police officers.

Police say one of the officers shot at the large pitbull-mastiff mix after they say it aggressively charged at them on Winsor Street Wednesday afternoon.

The dog was taken to a local veterinarian’s office where the animal later died.

No officers were injured in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
