An annual air show on Grand Island had a special guest this year.
One of the skydivers who was critically injured last July at the event during a "bad" landing returned on Monday to thank his rescuers.
Members of the GIFC received a heartfelt thank you from special guest Sherry Schupp, the sister of Jeff Antoncich, who had to receive lifesaving advanced life support treatment from paramedics on July 13, 2016. Antoncich was also on hand to express his gratitude.
Meanwhile, Bob Mesmer welcomed a record crowd of several hundred guests to his air show this year on Love Road.
