Mercy Flight is adding to its fleet of Advanced Life Support Fly Cars thanks to a generous gift from The Margaret L. Wendt Foundation.

Mercy Flight announced the $96,000 gift on Friday.

Advanced Life Support Fly Cars are paramedic response vehicles that can get to the accident site before the Mercy Flight helicopters and provide the essential advanced life support services that help optimize survival and recovery. Mercy Flight currently has six of these special vehicles.

“We are so grateful to The Margaret L. Wendt Foundation for understanding the importance of our mission and supporting it once again,” says Vice President of Finance Scott Wooton. “The new Paramedic Fly Car that will be acquired with this very generous grant will undoubtedly create improved patient outcomes throughout Mercy Flight’s ground ambulance service area for many years to come.”
