The Buffalo Fire Department and a crew from National Fuel worked to stop a gas leak at General Mills overnight Friday.
Workers at the plant call called the fire department around Midnight and said they were experiencing a large gas leak outside of the cereal plant at S. Michiagan Avenue and Ganson Street.
Firefighters temporarily aided a National Fuel crew as they repaired the leak. A fire official said that a gasket problem may have led to the problem.
No one was hurt.
General Mills did not respond to our request for comment.
