Consumer’s Beverages, WNY United and Erie County Sheriff Timothy Howard have partnered up to launch the ‘Not A Minor Problem’ campaign.

The campaign aims to crack down on underage drinking in Western New York.

The three entities will spread the message through social media and in-store displays.

Consumer’s Beverages will place stickers and bottleneck signs on all of its products to remind customers not to purchase for people under the age of 21. The signs will also remind people about the consequences including jail time if they buy alcohol for a minor.

With this being prom and graduation season law enforcement believe this is a time a lot of minors will find their way to a bottle or can of alcohol.

If you know of any underage drinking or underage drinking parties going on Sheriff Howard urges you to call Erie County’s anonymous and confidential tip line at 1-800-851-1932.
