It looks like our relatively mild winter is coming with a bonus for some local students.
Because the Starpoint Central School District in Lockport didn't use a single snow day this year, summer vacation will now officially begin on Friday June 17th. The last student attendance day was originally Monday, June 20th. That day will now be used as a staff development day for teachers and staff.
But, there is a catch, this doesn't cover all Starpoint students. Sorry high schoolers, this is only for grades K-8, which means you still have school.
