As part of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the William-Emslie Family YMCA is hosting a "Pink Power" breast cancer awareness fair today, from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
The event will include a mammography bus, stories told by cancer survivors, a pink Zumba class, raffles, and a memorial service for lost loved ones.
Liz Kahn, the Executive Director of Susan G. Komen Western New York, will be the guest speaker. Komen is a non-profit dedicated to raising money and awareness for breast cancer.
"We are working to educate area women on the importance of screenings and early detection, because we know that early detection with the right treatment can save lives," Khan explained.
If you would like to visit the fair, it will be taking place at 585 William Street in Buffalo.
