Thirteen people were arrested and charged after a series of drug raids across Niagara Falls.

Niagara Falls Police executed six search warrants throughout the city.  Narcotics, drug needles, scales, and more were seized as part of the warrants.

Police Superintendent Bryan DalPorto says drug dealing will not be tolerated in the city.

"These warrants serve as a notice to any would-be or current people who participate in drug dealing in Niagara Falls," DalPorto said.

Joanna Leone, Henry Hudson Jr., Scott Gamache, Emily Bechtold, Alexis Teschner, Vincent Carbone, Carly McEvoy, Brett Stewart, Janet Lynn Gatley, Robert, Evrard, Lelly Baronich, Jennifer Shanley, and William Welch are facing loitering and/or drug-related charges, including three felonies and eleven misdemeanors.

Most of the sites that were raided Wednesday were known drug 'hot spots' in the city.  One of the houses, 1516 22nd Street, has been called on to police 91 times.

Some of the people arrested were known to police, too.  William Welch had been arrested 59 times, several of those were for narcotics, according to DalPorto.
