New York State to continue phasing in $15 minimum wage; minimum wage in WNY going up on Dec. 31

ALBANY, N.Y. (WKBW) — The New York State Department of Labor says the phasing in of $15 minimum wage will continue as planned, beginning December 31st.

According to the state DOL, the minimum wage on Long Island and in Westchester will go up to $15 an hour for all workers.

Meanwhile in Upstate New York, minimum wage will increase on December 31st to $12.50 an hour, and fast food workers are scheduled to make minimum $15 an hour on December 31st, 2021.

A date has not been set for minimum wage to go up to $15 an hour for all workers in Upstate New York.
