Gas prices up significantly in Buffalo one week before Labor Day

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — If you've noticed that the average price for a gallon of gas is up in your neighborhood, you're not alone.

Right now the average price for a gallon of gas shot up nine cents from last week in Buffalo to $2.26.

This one week ahead of the busy Labor Day travel across the country.

Gas prices both nationally and in New York state went up four cents from the previous week.

Gas prices also jumped two cents in Batavia.
