7 things to do in Western New York this weekend: October 23 - October 25

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Fall continues to make its way into Western New York as we're just a little over a week away from Halloween. Although fall activities have been different this year due to COVID-19, there is still plenty to do throughout our region!

Below you'll find a list of activities you can take part in throughout Western New York this weekend.

Movie theaters outside of NYC can reopen, go see a movie!

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced movie theaters outside of New York City can reopen at 25 percent capacity or up to 50 people per screen on October 23rd. Movie theaters have been closed since March due to COVID-19. Check your favorite theater's website for their opening date and show times.

Trunk-or-Treat and Grab-n-Go Carnival at the Eastern Hills Mall

A free event hosted by the Eastern Hills Mall, the Grab-n-Go Carnival will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the Trunk-or-Treat event will be from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m on October 24. You can find more information here.

Aqueous live at The Silver Lake Twin Drive-In

A family-friendly night is ahead, Explore & More - The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Children's Museum is hosting a Superhero Night on October 24 and you're invited! Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth is hosting a pumpkin patch event at its Hertel Avenue location on October 23.
