Sabrina D'Angelo stopped three of the five penalty kicks she faced to lift the Western New York Flash past the Washington Spirit for a 3-2 win to secure the National Women's Soccer League Championship on Sunday.

D'Angelo was named the MVP of the game.
It's the Flash's first title in NWSL history and fourth overall in franchise history.
Tailing 2-1 in extra time, Lynn Williams netted the equalizer in the final seconds to force the match to PKs.
Abby Dahlkemper, Jaelene Hinkle and Williams scored for WNY during the shootout.
Sammy Mewis scored the Flash's first goal of the game in the 15th minute.
