With free agency on the horizon, the Buffalo Sabres remained busy on Monday, extending seven of their restricted free agents qualifying offers.

Headlining the list is defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen, who is a cornerstone on the blue line and the rebuild for the Sabres.

Ristolainen was the only Sabres player to see action in all 82 games last season and scored a career-high nine goals, which included his first career hat-trick.

The Sabres also extended offers to fellow defenseman Jake McCabe and Casey Nelson, along forwards Marcus Foligno, Zemgus Girgensons and Dan Catenacci.  RFA Goaltender Jason Kasdorf was also extended an offer.

Buffalo did not offer RFAs Nathan Lieuwen, Colin Jacobs, Alexander Guptill, or Andrey Makarov qualifying offers.   They are now set to become unrestricted free agents.
