An East Aurora woman was in court Tuesday afternoon accused of stealing $4.1 million over the last five years from Towne Automotive in Orchard Park.

Police say Billie Becker, 55, took a plea deal after admitting to using company money to pay for personal accounts since at least 2012. Becker worked for Towne since 2001 and has served as comptroller for the last eight years.

Detectives say Towne Automotive realized the theft when a credit card company called to ask about a credit card the company was not aware of.

Becker was charged with one count of grand larceny in January and freed on $10,000 bail.

On Tuesday, she was additionally charged with a grand larceny first class charge and criminal tax fraud charge.

So far, Becker has paid $700,000 back and owes the state $250,000 in taxes.

She is scheduled to be sentenced on June 13.
