The church is now leaving the pews for prayer and taking to the streets delivering, "Ashes To Go." In the middle of a busy work week and daily tasks it an be difficult to find a moment to pray - even on Ash Wednesday.

Several churches across Western New York will be administering ashes during this simple, yet deeply meaningful event in church parking lots, community centers, metro stations and even supermarket lots throughout the day.

Calvary Church in Williamsville is just one of many churches that is joining the effort to take a greater message to out into the community by inviting them to stumble into a moment of peace and prayer.

Calvary's "Ashes To Go" hours are as follows: 6:30 - 7a.m., 8 - 9a.m., 11a.m. - 12 noon, and 3 - 6 p.m.
