An overnight fire destroyed a vacant cottage in the rear of 137 Northampton Street Wednesday.
The fire was reported to authorities around 2:40 a.m.
Heavy fire was found throughout the structure by firefighters.
No one was hurt.
Damage to the cottage was estimated to be $40,000. An exposure home sustained $5,000 in damage. A fence on Michigan Avenue sustained $1,000 in damage.
