Alberta Premier Rachel Notley says a raging wildfire that forced 80,000 people to evacuate has destroyed or damaged an estimated 1,600 structures in the Canadian oil town of Fort McMurray.
But firefighters have been able to keep flames from the downtown area.
The fire appeared near the airport late Wednesday and all commercial flights in and out of Fort McMurray have been suspended.
