There's no doubt that expanding ridesharing through the entirety of New York State is one of Governor Cuomo's most popular proposals right now.

According to a Siena College poll, 77% of New Yorkers support ridesharing services across the state, compared to 15% opposition.

In response to the support, Uber NY General Manager Josh Mohrer says the poll shows the obvious demand to bring New Yorkers "better transportation options" to their area.

"Governor Cuomo has heard the voices of New Yorkers and recently announced a proposal to bring ridesharing to Upstate communities," said Mohrer. "Now it's time for the Legislature to ignore NYC special interests and ensure that Upstate is no longer left behind the rest of the country in having access to ridesharing."
