The University at Buffalo is monitoring the immigration situation closely.

The office of International Student and Scholar Services is sending a notice out to International Students, advising them not to travel outside the United States, which includes crossing into Canada. The University is advising students to wait until there is further clarification on the travel ban.

UB says it has 120 students from five of the seven countries impacted in the ban.

110 come from Iran, seven from Syria, two from Iraq, one from Sudan and one from Yemen. There are 20 faculty, researchers, visiting scholars and staff from those countries.
