Buffalo Police have an individual in custody after a car hit three pedestrians overnight.

Police arrested 31 year old Abdikadir Jaffar of Utica, NY and charged him with DWI, vehicular assault and other charges.

Officers say the crash happened just after 1 a.m. Sunday at Richmond Avenue and Bryant Street.

According to officers, a car traveling southbound on Richmond hit another car, causing it to veer off the road and hit a pole before hitting three people.

Investigators say two of the three pedestrians are listed in critical condition at Erie County Medical Center.

Two people in the other car suffered minor injuries, according to police.

Authorities say the driver that caused the crash is in custody and facing DWI and other charges.
