I-90 Eastbound has re-opened at Exit 56 (Milestrip) after a truck fire.
At first, the entire Thruway was closed around 6 p.m. and traffic was diverted for around a half hour. Then I-90 East was re-opened but the right two lanes remained closed and traffic was backed up for miles.
There was also congestion on I-90 West near the accident scene.
But now the congestion has cleared and I-90 East is fully open.
