The Niagara County Sheriff is warning Western New Yorkers about credit card skimming.
Skimmers are small devices, installed on gas pumps, self-checkout devices, or even at the ATM.
They scan your credit card data, which thieves then have access to for their personal use.
A number of these cases have been reported throughout Niagara County. The sheriff's office has not said where this happened.
If you think you've fallen victim to a skimmer, call police.
