Police: Two people armed with gun arrested for home invasion

City of North Tonawanda Police say they were able to track down two individuals who broke into a home armed with a handgun, robbing the home owner of an undetermined amount of cash and jewelry.

According to police, Adam Cleary and Elyse Schurkus of Buffalo broke into a home located on Wheatfield Street in North Tonawanda. Both Cleary and Schurkus were arrested a few hours after the break in. 

Schurkus and Cleary are both charged with robbery in the first degree, burglary in the first degree, robbery in the second degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree and conspiracy in the fourth degree. 

Cleary was also charged with criminal use of a firearm in their first degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
