A couple from Elba and their adopted son have all been arrested for separate sex crimes that State Police say were discovered during separate investigations.

Scott Reed, 50, his 51-year-old wife Deborah and 22-year-old adopted son Jonathan live together on Log City Road.

According to troopers, Scott and Deborah are facing charges for the sexual abuse of a minor over a 10-year period. The case was reported to State Police this past March.

Scott is charged with second degree course of sexual conduct. The charge means his alleged victim was under the age of 11. His wife is charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Investigators say Deborah failed to provide adequate protection for other children within the home after learning of past abuses by her husband.

Their adopted son Jonathan is facing charges in a completely separate case in the Town of Perry, where he is accused of having sexual contact with two girls: a 14 year old and a 16 year old.

Jonathan is charged with several counts of second degree rape, second degree criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child in the Town of Perry. He's also charged with second degree rape, third degree rape and third degree criminal sexual act in the Town of Lancaster.

State Police say they started investigating Scott, which led to their investigation into Deborah, which then led into their investigation of Jonathan.

Police are asking other possible victims to call the Batavia barracks at 585-344-6200.
