Niagara Regional Police investigating string of assaults in Niagara Falls, Ontario

Niagara Regional Police Service are investigating a string of assaults and robberies that took place in Niagara Falls, Ontario around Fallsview Boulevard and just outside the Embassy Suites Hotel late Friday and early Saturday morning.

According to police, the first incident took place at around 9:35 p.m. Friday, where a couple was walking on Portage Road. They were approached by a group of people. Police added that one of the suspects tried to rob one of the male victims and assaulted him with a weapon.

The next incident took place five minutes near the Embassy Suites. Police say the same group of people violently assaulted another man.

Shortly after, the same group of individuals approached another man, standing at Dixon Street at Fallsview Boulevard, where he too was violently attacked, according to police.

All three male victims were transported to a hospital and were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Early Saturday morning, police say a male was approached by a lone male suspect on Stanley Avenue near Main Street. The suspect assaulted and stole personal property from the victim, according to police.

Police say the suspects are between the ages of 18 and 25 years old, wearing baggy pants and hoodies.
