Thirty-two-year-old Freddie Dizon is dead after a shooting in the kitchen of Buffalo's iconic Anchor Bar restaurant on Friday night.

According to investigators, the shooter targeted the deceased victim, who was an employee of the restaurant. Another victim, also an employee, 36-year-old Ray Hogue, was grazed by a ricocheted bullet. He suffered superficial wounds.

Both victims were taken to ECMC, where Dizon later died. Hogue was treated and released.

Dizon's family has started a GoFundMe page to raise money for his funeral expenses and the three children he leaves behind. It has already raised $1,400.

A suspect has not been identified. Police are reviewing surveillance footage to better identify the shooter, and to better understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The Anchor Bar released this statement regarding the murder inside their restaurant:

"First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the Anchor Bar employees, one who was fatally wounded and the other who was wounded yesterday evening.

"We would like to thank the BPD and emergency medical personnel for their quick response. We will continue to do everything we can to help with this investigation.

"We will not allow this act of senseless violence to keep us from serving the good people of this city, and will resume operations Sunday at 12pm. We thank the Buffalo community for your unwavering support.

"We defer all questions about this incident to the Buffalo Police Department as they continue their investigation."
