Canisius High School is bringing a Buffalo mansion back to life in style.

The school has purchased the Connors Mansion at Delaware and West Ferry, directly across the street from its campus, to serve as the home of its new fine and performing arts center.

The 13,000 square-foot building will feature classrooms, rehearsal space, a recording studio, and an art gallery.

More than 400 students were enrolled in arts courses at Canisius for the 2016-17 academic year.

The Connors Mansion has sat vacant since the closing of the Gilda's Club of WNY clubhouse in 2015.

Gilda's Club purchased the former private residence in 2003 for $475,000. It was appraised at $1.4 million in 2010, according to Business First.

Canisius did not disclose a sale price.

The building will need to undergo renovations before it opens its doors to students.
