It's a wonderful way to explore Wyoming County, as the Chamber & Tourism office unveils a geocaching trail. Geocaching is part game and part adventure. Using a GPS or an App that can be downloaded on your phone, you can uncover hidden caches. John Fudalik has been geocaching for years, he says"it takes you a lot of places you don't know exist."

Beaver Meadow Audubon Center is one of twelve family friendly places included in the Wyoming County Geocaching Trail. Director Loren Smith says "it's great for us because it brings new people to our center, they come for the cache and then stay for the other things we have here."

Eric Szucs of the Wyoming Chamber & Tourism says that if you find ten caches you can win a commemorative wooden nickel. Each cache is a box that contains a log that players can sign and small items that they can trade, Eric says "it's one of the rules, you can trade something of greater or equal value for what's inside the cache."

To get started, you can visit the Wyoming Chamber & Tourism website.
